Review of the New Can Am Outlander 700 XT Max after riding for a little while. I have some personal opinions on what I think they should look at on the next generation and what I love so far.

The issue with the front cover is the latches are not fully engaged, you have to pull up on them to get past the second detent. That being said if you throw things on the front rack you might accidentally tap down on those so I can see you having to check those all the time.
The shifter rod might need a fine adjustment. Remove the right side panel and loosen the 10mm nut to make the adjustment.
Great video! Very nice quad. How would you rate your riding experience as related to exhaust noise level? I like quiet ATVs and this one sounded pretty quiet at the dealer but I couldn't ride it.
Can-Am has made a lot of changes with this new ATV and I think they've corrected most of the issues that existed on the G2. This ATV no longer has the trailing arm suspension its switched to almost lifetime rubber bushings and A-arms. Better clutch, better shifter, easier and less frequent maintenance. Better build quality better storage and better accessory integration. Now runs an oxygen sensor for better fuel management, beefier CVT and better heat management.
I would have to say if this ATV has a flaw it is the windshield options. Since I never use a windshield, I couldn't care less. This appears to be a near perfect atv on paper.

Thanks for the review I just bought one of these and Im excited to try it out! I agree with the other comment from someone earlier about the volume it was hard to hear you. However you were very clear and easy to understand.

Pro models have a true front locker and for that reason would get my money. Hard to beat the Pro XU HD7 package.
I have a slip locker in my truck and it’s great on a wet road or pulling away from a stop on a dirt road, but not great offroad. Going through the shit I want to lock it and rip it

The 4wd ( when activated) is actually 3wd until the Visco loc kicks in. Its not like a polaris that has both front wheels engage with rear wheel slip. It works quite well on the trail as long as you dont stop when coming to an obstacle or mud as the Visco is " charged up" per se. The system has a drawback in that it doesn't give immediate 4wd from a standing start, which is why the xmr has 4loc.

Do the back rest and rear grab handles come off? Or are they permanently attached to the seat... My Outy Max G2 has a separate/detachable rear seat..

Thanks for the review. I was able to adjust and tighten the front latches on mine to make a more positive lock and keep from coming loose.

Only thing i trully dislike about this model is how they made the seats. I would love to have separate passenger seat.

Nice to see some thoughts on this 700 Max. But one key thing to review on a Max, is how it handles 2-up riding and you made no mention of the performance there.

Looking at one of these right now. I want the new chassis but don’t want it to be low on power with my wife on back and we encounter a steep incline. You think it’s plenty or could be more? Not worried about going fast just available power here and there.

Thanks for the review I'm looking at getting this to replace my old Polaris 570 sportsman touring. The back storage looks fairly deep could you measure the area behind the seat?

What would I need to buy for oil change for this machine? Just oil and diff oil?

Coming from a 2014 Arctic Cat 700 TRV, I miss the diff lock and I liked that the Cat turned 6500 rpm max vs Can Am tops out at a screaming 7, 500 rpms. Can Am is quieter and feels a bit more sporty. LED headlights are great. Can Am seems a bit more fuel hungry too. Would have looked at another Cat if my dealer had not dropped them.

The long shifter connection rod may add to the play. Does any other ATV have a long connection rod

That's amazing, perfect setup. Can the rear seat be removed?

Have you contacted the dealer about that reverse light issue? I wonder if there's a sensor that is just a little out of place

I think the shifter just needs to be adjusted a little and you wont see the reverse when in park.

How hard is it to remove the backrest? Thanks
