Higher your prices by 15-20%. Also try and rent out a shop to offer coatings and paint correction services to continue to grow. Great channel man, keep the grind up

I've been working at a detailing shop for 3 years or so, and I understand the difficulty of some interiors. My least favorite thing to do is vacuum dog hair out of carpets and seatbacks that don't release it easily. One suggestion I might make, from one detailer to another, is to wear a headlamp for interiors. I work in a shop, so we don't have sunlight at our disposal, but extra lighting still might be beneficial as the light reveals any imperfections. Keep it up man, enjoying the videos!

Good job on your video. I appreciate your honesty. I started my detail business in 1965 as a sophomore in high school. My prices back then was $ 25.00for a complete wash and add hard shell turtle wax was $10.00. Blue Coral was a premium polish and wax back then. Application was with a Craftsman 3/8" Drill with a buffing pad. The end result was my best selling tool. Earned a lot of money on those summers off. In the 70's I had a pole barn in the back of my property. My business took off. Teaching Auto Shop and Welding classes during the day and detailing at night. Malco was the high end detailing chemicals. Prices went up accordingly. Flash ahead to 2022 I have about 43 loyal customers that depend on me to make their vehicles look great. At 73 years old and enjoying retirement it's difficult to say no to clients that are now friends. Today total wash with ceramic car soap, decontamination, iron spray is $65.00 basic wash above and polishing and ceramic coating is $ 300.00. It should be higher but hey I'm retired.

It really depends on the market and client. We print stickers and have “customers” come and say that the next guy can do it cheaper while we have other returning customers that we just send a invoice and they get that taken care of without a budge. It’s always hard starting out since your still learning and getting your routine down but once you feel like you got that covered test new grounds and raise your prices. In logo design one designer can charge $20 while another will charge 20k the only difference is one values his time more. Market your self as a premium brand and that’s how people will treat you. Don’t let people tell you your over charging if others are willing to pay more for the service. Just the way of business.

Been in your exact situation. Charging around your prices and me and my brother exhausted everyday for little money. I would suggest you get rid of the express wash unless they have multiple vehicles at the same location, your really not making much on those unless you do a lot of volume but you do exhaust yourself also. I would suggest you increase your prices by at least $50. Yes you won’t do as much volume as you are now but TRUST ME you definitely get cleaner cars and more quality clients. Especially since you are fairy establishment with a good track record and lots of review, new clients won’t have a problem paying your new prices. Hope this helps

Take the packages that people are buying the most and push em . Don’t have so many packages just my opinion. I say the pricing is good for one person I work by myself you probably can charge more because you have a team to pay !keep going up as you grow. Keep going I’m growing my detail business right a long with you. Been working in a shop 8 years running their business I’m building mine right now! I’m having issues on how to price when people are out of state! Support from Michigan!

Your prices are on par with the detailers in my area. I just had my wife and I cars done. Interior and exterior detail with iron removal, clay, and sealant for $180 each. I'm also doing monthly maintenance details for $80.

Bro...I believe Scott from Dallas Paint Correction said it best..."you are not a car washer...you are a Professional Detailer"...you gotta charge more...why even offer a $50 detail bc most likely ppl will go for the cheapest detail...let your cheapest detail still be profitable..you gotta make money and your business needs to make money...this way you are not wasting your time nor theirs.

I'm in the DMV and my starting rate for a Standard Detail is $125.00. I started at $60 but increased my rates every 6 months. Had to learn upsell and price according due to condition.

Thank the lord I watched this video I’ve been charging WAAY to little. My prices were okay for when I started out but the level of work I’m putting out now isn’t comparable to the early days. I’ve always thought about raising prices and customers have even told me I’m underselling myself (I didn’t care because I enjoy it and was still making good profit margins) but this video finally made me up it👍🏻

Best way to see if your price is competitive, call the local detail services in the area ask for price quotes. Compare the prices and adjust accordingly.

I've had many detailers wash 3 of my dirty work trucks for over 350 and missed some spots and not even underwash thembut I'm not a picky customer best way to detail a car is thinking you're detailing your own and that's why I'm going to start my own business

I’m a beginner detailer and I’m glad I came across your video because I was charging little or nothing before I came across your video 9:43

For deep stains, hit them with Folex first and let it sit a couple minutes before you spray your carpet solution. Makes a world of difference.

Finally a video I have been waiting for. I’m always curious how people set there prices but everyone only says, “charge what you think you are worth.” This is exactly what I wanted to hear to compare my business with others
