I always wondered if the foundation have like a...high secutity farm somewhere where they keep all of the "anomolous but not more dangerous than other animals" animals they manage to collect. Like the depressed Pegasus could hang out with the super speedy racehorse and the wooden colt (they need to put a body sock on the colt first though). That would be cute! They can go on long rides in nature with their handlers.

if you chop off your hand, leave it in one place, and go thru a door, the hand will stay in where you left it. There is no reason for Josey to function differently.
