3 years later are these still your under 50ish dollar pick?

Chi-fi is a very rapid market, you need to review the ones released recently (<3 months maximum) something like the KZ ZSX and BLON-3.

I own the Tin t2's and I must say this is an extremely accurate description of its sound. Very well done 👍.

The "thh" range is my new favorite term haha. Loving the IEM reviews!

Got the famous Tin T2s yesterday. For my personal tastes, I prefer these over the BLON-03s which are bit too bassy.

These are still very much relevant due to their very friendly price.

Great review, I own the Tin T3 and I thought it was good until I tried the Blon 03 which at this current time is my daily driver, I would suggest to you to tell us your thoughts if you get it!

Now you're going to get suggestions for a million chi-fi That's a slippery slope since there's dozens of good ones. Also very thrilled with the kzs10 which is where I went after t2 pro/t3, looking for similar traits with just a little more kick.

there is really simple and really amazing mod for T2 everyone should try - Sealed front vent, that increase bass a bit more

finally got these too and had to laugh, because of the "wide but not wide" part i absolutely agree on.
These are basically the Sivga Phoenix of Earbuds:
Good value for the price, bassy but no basscans, pretty dynamic, clean sound, while nicely seperating, very good build quality, comfortable to wear and the same weird spacious sound signature, while having a pretty damn narrow soundstage and not very good imaging.
Still a very enjoyable sound in my opinion (in both cases)

i have the topping mx3 and a similar pair of IEMs. the zs10 pros. and i get really bad hiss. i also get hiss on my dac x6. would using something like the jds labs atom/dac stack work better and get rid of the hiss? or do you think its more of a usb/power cable noise issue? i use my amps through usb on my pc. Ive tried using a different audio source and i still get the hiss. do i just need something with cleaner amplification?

Had a trio of the Tin 2, 2pro and 3.
And indeed i like the T2pro most, its midrange forward and i feel more detailed, its also mirrored in the form factor so that it catually fit as any usual loop over the ear IEM.
Sibilance feel the most on the T2 IMO, the T3 is smoother, but i feel like its missing some sort of charm compared to the T2 and T2Pro.
The cable on T3 is nice tho.

Decided against buying one of them because i already have bright smooth sounding IEM in my Final Adagio V.

Tho definitely noted to check it out again if either my Finals or Shizuku ever died.

The Tins are exceptional in the way that it sound quite open as you said, while there i also tried a couple entry level Kinera, Moondrop, BGVP and TFZ Kings (exclusive, II, LTD) and..
none of them has the sense of air and depth the Tins has.

I'm late to the party, but i received my Tin T2 today. Haven't used any IEMs for over a decade and got curious just to try something. I had no preconceived opinion of how an IEM should sound like, but my first day impression of these is that these have no right to sound this _okay_ for 30€. Not necessarily amazing, but these are not what i'd imagine 30€ to sound like.

Watched the video before I bought them and watching it again now after owning and daily using them for several months, these are my first IEM and honestly I love them, the most important thing is I can listen on them for hours while working my source is mostly my laptop which is maybe not the best but that's it for now. The only thing is that you kinda have to crank them up to get the bass punch out of them, I define myself as fairly low level listener and that's the only sort of "bad" thing I have to say about them.

Hey, is T2 a good IEM for metal genres? If not can you recommend me one.
