"The Bonnie Blue Flag", also known as "We Are a Band of Brothers", is an 1861 marching song associated with the Confederate States of America. The words were written by the entertainer Harry McCarthy, with the melody taken from the song "The Irish Jaunting Car". The song's title refers to the unofficial first flag of the Confederacy, the Bonnie Blue Flag.

I do not represent any of the ideologies, countries, or religions shown on this channel. The purpose of this channel and its content is to historically present the music at hand and does not show support for nor against the party on screen, rather a neutral preservation standpoint so that the music is not lost to time. Not all parties shown on Danjori are widely accepted, however, I merely upload their songs to record history, good or bad.

As a brit I must respect this splendid piece of history. I've been to the US several times and I must say the southern states are the best. Much better atmosphere and people.

Very interesting song, indeed.

As a relative of several Confederate soldiers myself, (all were farmers), I can only hope that we find a way of peace, WITHOUT racism, as that is a main part of the South and the America of today that I hate, along with the fight for government control.

Thanks again for uploading this song, Danjori and wishing you a good day and good summer, albeit a very hot one.
