Thanks for sharing that story, Bandrew, including the emotional connection. What an awesome and inspiring journey it has been.

All of my songs and 90% of a cappella arrangements recorded by me on SM7b which I bought because of your review and your passion about this mic. Thank you for sharing your story!

Hearing about why the SM7B is important to you was amazing. You helped me start up with creating music. Whenever it came to figuring out what piece of equipment I should invest in, you were the only channel that I would trust for the expertise. I’ve ran on an AT2020 for years until I got into college. Two years ago, you know what mic that I upgraded to? The Shure SM7B. So thank you for being important to me and playing a big part in helping me start up.

It’s completely fine to be emotional over a microphone, Bandrew.
I do not own this microphone, but I know that when I get it, things will be 10x better. This microphone isn’t just a gear tool, it’s history. By the way (this is random all of a sudden lol) the first video I saw of yours was your opinion on the Shure MV7, it helped me so much. I didn’t even know Shure had their own microphone editing software. All I’m trying to say here Bandrew is don’t stop what you’re doing. You’re helping out so many people, including me! I’m so happy that you’re relationship with your SM7B has gone very well, my friend. Also don’t call yourself dumb over a microphone. It isn’t just a microphone, it’s a piece of history and nothing will change that. Thank you so much for everything Bandrew. Hope to see you soon. ❤

Its not wrong to get emotional to this. its not the microphone itself alone that makes you emotional and thats cool. you are very sympathic with your style and that made you even more for me. much love for you and your channel(s). you helped me a lot with your videos in starting the hobby. thanks a lot and i hope we will see you for much longer. <3

I hope they decide to mass produce this edition at some point. I know it's still a regular SM7b but I like the stuff that comes with it and the signature on the side looks really classy.

Honestly this is just so wholesome and with such a backstory getting emotional about the mic is not stupid, but expected! Thanks for creating your videos, you've played a major role in me finding my facination with audio.

Bandrew, I really appreciate you telling your personal story. It is truly a reflection of trust you have in a community you created, nurtured, and have grown. Storytelling is an incredibly powerful way to get your perspective across, and a great way to pass lessons on to others and we have all learned so much from you. We are glad you are here.

Your channel is the channel I send people to when they ask about microphones and "what is the best one for me?". You singlehandedly provide a generalized and very objective review on equipment. From one Professional live mix engineer to another passionate audio guy, thank YOU.

People find you for the microphone reviews. They stay because of your passion and genuine care for the gear and how it is presented. Congrats to Shure, mostly congrats to you, Bandrew.

I almost skipped this one. Glad I didn't. Once you find a microphone you love, it's more than a tool. Its an extension of your voice, one of the most intimate elements we possess, specially if you have to hear yourself in editions, overcome the initial shame until you learn to love your voice and what you can give to the world.
At the same time, its a simbiotic relationship, where each part adds something.
Seven years ago I started recording with my shure sm58, to get away from a dark place. Now the body of the mic is all bitten by humidity, but damm I love that thing and I'm feel married to it, a feeling alike to a Hogwarts Wizard to its wand.
So, as a Shure fan, I enjoyed a lot learning about the history and the amazing care they put into this milestone.
And, as a Podcastage fan, I enjoyed a lot learning about your history.
Stay safe, and enjoy this, Bandrew, you totally earned it!

Thank you for everything. You are a beautiful human being, and I am so glad that you are able to celebrate January 2, 2015. Henceforth, I'll think of you every January 2nd, and give thanks for you, your channel, and the Shure SM7b that made it all possible.

Hey! January 2nd is my marriage anniversary (but I got married in 2016). Now every year on January 2nd, I will look at my wife and say "Happy Anniversary... to Bandrew Scott... on another year of sobriety." Okay. Maybe I won't do that...

Anyway, congratulations on your sobriety and thank you for the ethical service you have devoted yourself to!

thank you for all the videos. the thing you described of the emptyness or lack of information and testing on youtube you filled that empyness and you are filling it so good.

Your generosity is blameless, I discovered this microphone thanks to your videos... so I appreciate you opening this channel. You could have made the video without spending a penny, but you decided to donate the cost of the product to charity. That says a lot about you as a person. Thank you for all of your work! I send you a big hug from Spain!

Thank you for the video! I'm a Teacher, and investing in audio gear during the pandemic was a much easier task with your help. My microphones, audio interfaces, and even cables, were all bought based on your suggestions. I really respect the work you do, and consider myself a big fan of yours. Congratulations for the beautiful work you do!
