Thank you for sharing this! I watched my grandfather take care of my grandmother for two years. He would rarely accept help and it took such a toll on him mentally and physically.

Caregiving is hard, and I think it’s always a challenge to find the balance between taking care of others and still taking care of your own needs too. Your tips are very helpful Robin!

Thanks for sharing this... My Dad is a caregiver for my Mum and I know that he is to proud to ask for help. Thanks for this info! I appreciate it as my parents live in a different country from me!

Great insight and tips Robin. My mother had to really take care of my father at the end when his mesothelioma got worse. I now have a better idea and appreciation of what she went through. We all pitched in where we could but after 52 years of marriage she wanted to do it. I certainly will be mindful of these items going forward.

They should put a little more funding for eldercare in the system

When Mum cared for Dad before he died, it was so hard on her. Every single one of these signs applied to her. I think a lot of people didn’t realize that those six weeks or so were full-on traumatic for Mum.
