Languages surround us wherever we are and wherever we travel, like a limitless buffet of delicious morsels of food. We can choose to limit ourselves to a few or to sample many. Here Moses Mccormick and I talk about the fun and challenges of learning many different languages.

Moses was the reason why I got interested in learning different languages (seeing his interactions with different people).

Steve was the reason (via ling) I’ve made serious strides in Chinese and Japanese via his input method.

Great conversation. Would love to see more of them together.

I rarely see that kind of conversation beetwen language learners. You guys are some of the most experienced out there. I'm glad you got together to record this video.

I love you two guys ✌
You don't need to be perfect in languages, you just have to enjoy the process. This is one of the reasons why I really respect Moses.

"IS THIS A TREASURE BOX?!" I've been a Moses fan since his level up adventure with Benny the Polyglot. Awesome to see him here.

Thank you Moses and Steve for the inspiration. I'm glad Moses videos will still be around to show all the possibilities of language learning.
Did Moses say what happened with that rude Chinese Restaurant owner after the video ends?

Since you're having trouble with Persian script, have you looked at Tajik? It uses a version of Cyrillic, and it's a lot more phonetic than Iranian Persian in Arabic script.

You guys are masters! I focus 99.9% on French now, but then Swedish and little bit Turkish. I speak Turkish with guys who work at the my local restaurant. Make more videos together and show that awesome human connection.

Dead at 40?? This would make sense in the 1500s maybe, but in 2021? Even people who are severely obese make it into their 60s nowadays, but Laoshu was a fitness fanatic. There is something very off about this story

Normal people : Have you seen the weather ? And the flu ? keep warm, bye.

Polyglots : Have you started Ukrenian ? What about Farsi ? Let's talk with random cantonese speakers with uber-pool !

I love it ! xD

Steve and Moses level up together, they walk up to someone, that person turns out to be Filipino, Moses proceeds to talk in Tagalog (or try to anyway) while Steve sits/stands there awkward barely understanding what they're saying. The Filipino person tries talking to Steve, only to say something like "Sorry I don't speak Tagalog, maybe one day I'll try learning it (or not)" Then tries to pitch Lingq at them trying to get them to help create content.
