I really appreciate you taking the time to update us on your progress, and it's great to see someone spend their hard-earned money on this device. Based on everything that you have shared and that I have seen elsewhere, I would be super interested in it if the price was closer to $1000. For the way I work, the transposing capabilities and now these punch-in track effects (that can stack?!) are super sick, and seem to set it apart. Still, the price gap doesn't match the gap of its uniqueness compared to similar devices, in my mind.

Thanks for the high quality, thoughtful content. It's truly a joy to watch.

Thanks for the vid! Yes, I also saw those smaller graphics pop up and for a few seconds I was like “oh interesting, let’s go back and discover what that was”, but I’d forgotten about them till your vid, going to go explore them now, thanks for the reminder!

So, it’s confirmed…with the “main” punch-in effects, we cannot record them on a per track basis?

What are your thoughts on this for making music live on the fly? I’m looking for something to play on stream and making some quick little beats for an intro or outro. Thoughts?

Can you tweak the parameters of the punch in effects? for example with the repeat note thing, can you change how many repeats, or make the repeate in a different ryhtm, stuff like that?

I didn’t get what you were saying about the punch in effects because my point of reference is the OP-Z and on that they can be a world of creativity..

Watching you… I still kinda feel like I’d want to bring my work into a DAW. Like there’s a very cool digital sorta sound.. I’m hearing in what you’re doing, but at the same time i don’t think I’d want to be too much defined by that as a pallet.

So true! All these punch-in effects are super useful and make it really fun to play around with a groove box in such a perfectly portable format. The OP-Z also offers per-track effects with the keyboard split into two sections for the track and the global sequence. But is all of that really worth $2, 300? I remain skeptical as well.

Good video! When I saw individual punch in effects on the Anderton's video I had the same reaction! What I wish is that for the main Punch-In effects that they could be turned off per track like the Brain. The XY is arguably their greatest product, the sound quality from this device is outstanding and can produce results that really sound polished and finished, all from this tiny portable object.
