I was born in 61 as well, and the Beatles, through the radio mostly, were a big presence in my life growing up. Living in the USA and not having any records yet, the cartoon show on Saturday morning was a blessing.

So I don't care for The stones, crappy singing. Prefer Beatles by a long shot, then Floyd, next to Led Zeppelin and Frank Zappa. Mainly Lennon as solo artist, then McCartney Harrison and Starr.
