Alright, I JUST tested this in-game and confirmed that explosive shot during TnT can be fired 3 times in a 4 gcd window without dropping any ticks of damage. Casting ExS x2, then arcane (or cobra), then ExS again results in a full 9 ticks of damage, wheras casting it back-to-back does 7, and casting it with filler between each cast still only results in 9.

So, when you get a TnT proc, immediately cast 2 explosive shots (slightly delay second shot by a hair only if you are moving toward the boss, the shortened travel time can result in it refreshing too fast and you dropping a tick of damage), followed by a filler (Kill shot if target under 20%, arcane shot if over 70, cobra shot if under 70) and then your last non-TnT cast of ExS.

6:55 The haste soft-cap of _757_ is so that you can fit 3 cobra shots perfectly between 2 ExS, it has nothing to do with filler between ExS during TnT.

we should be on the patch with the LNL "semi fix" so we can do Exp, Exp, Arc.Exp Shot or weave in cobra but as long as there isnt a pre existing tick of Explosive shot we can back to back the 1st 2 and not override the tick and still get 9 ticks of dmg

Ive always wanted a mixed melee/range spec with hunter. Im having fun placing my traps smacking with my huge sword then getting those sweet explosive shot procs. Lots of fun for me in dungeons
