Since the majority of people taking photos are putting them up on sites like Instagram, the M9's camera won't be an issue. Just put a filter on the photos and they will look better.

Went for htc one m9 in the end. Purely because of the looks, multi tasking, sound, ui, design and more control. Yes camera was important but the pros where more then enough to convince me to buy M9 over 6 or 6 plus.

my family members have all had iphones from the 4 - the 6s, and I've had the HTC sensation, m7 and m9 and in my opinion the HTC One m9 beats the iPhone 6 on design quality, speakers, power, OS etc.

I watch so many tech reviewers all the big names you can think of and your reviews (Michael) are by far my favorite they are almost movie like ... You could probably make a 20 dollar boost mobile phone look compelling ... Awesome

If the iPhone is as bad as everyone in the comments seems to think it is, then why do so many people use it?  I think iOS isn't actually that bad.  I think android is so much better, but still. I agree most strongly with Micheal's comments on the looks of these phones. The antenna bands on the back of the iPhone 6 are distracting and ugly, and I don't consider them a strong design feature at all.  But overall, these are two great smartphones, that when it comes down to it almost do the same thing, minus the customization on iOS.  They will be used by people to call, text, and waste time on social media, and that is pretty much all.

just to clarify - the camera reviews of these two devices is with stock automatic camera settings....people on xda have already found the best manual settings on the m9 camera to rival the best snappers at market now, including the s6, and iphone 6

As the ex user of one m8 and the current user of iphone 6, the only thing that I miss from my android is the front firing speaker. The best smartphone's speaker to date (so does one m7/m9).

I think that the m8 looks better than the m9. The back of the m9 is weird and the m8 is just kinda slick and nice. I love my m8 and all I want from the m9 is for HTC to hurry and put out sense 7 for the m8. Great video, this is the best video I've seen at summarizing the main differences between Apple and Android.
