Just passed the AWS Cloud Practitioner exam on the first try. My steps: (1) Watched the whole 4 hour video in 4 different sittings @ ~1 hour each (2) Did a practice exam from SK|LLCERTPR0 ($20) (3) Skipped through this YouTube video again to basically read through concept/high-level definitions. (4) Took the Pearson VUE online test and passed in about 40 minutes. Scored 945/1000.
I greatly appreciate this video. Thank you!

This is probably one of the best YouTube lessons about AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner out there. Why? Because this video really connects the dots. There are the few examples of connecting the dots (for me anyway):

ONE: Before watching this video, I thought there were only two options for Database Migration (On Prem – Cloud); AWS Snowball & Database Migration Services. This video explains that there are 4 options available out there for Database Migration; 1) Snowball 2) Database Migration Services 3) Server Migration Services 4) Application Discover Service

TWO: Before watching this video, I always got confused between S3 Standard – IA vs. S3 One Zone – IA. I knew that both are good for long term data retention but has quick retrieval process unlike S3 Glacier Deep Archive. But. Really what’s the difference between S2 Standard IA vs. S2 One Zone IA? I didn’t know that until I watched this video, this video explains that S3 Standard – IA data are stored in 3 Availability Zones which makes it fault-tolerance (uninterrupted service) while S3 One Zone IA data is stored in a Single Availability Zone which makes it NON-fault-tolerance and it’s 20% cheaper than S3 Standard – IA. Hence, S3 One Zone IA is the Cheapest (lowest availability) S3 storage availably there!

THREE – Initially, I got confused between RDS vs. AWS Aurora, this video explains it very well with RDS you can select your engine i.e., Aurora, Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, PostGreeSQL and MS SQL Server

FOUR – Excellent explanation on Route 53!!

However, the following topics could have been better presented i.e., SNS vs. SQS vs. SES (Did not touch SES at all) and also about the AWS Well Architected Framework (5 pillars); Operational Excellence, Performance Efficiency, Security, Reliability & Cost Optimization – could’ve been explained better with more examples on each pillar!

Thanks!

Great content! I passed the AWS CCP earlier this evening on my first try. I did a lot of studying over the past few weeks, and watched this video this morning. The visuals really helped with conceptual understanding - it was like putting a face to a name for me. Thanks!

Skimmed through the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner study guide, watched this video about 3 times, another one about 2 times, 3 weeks of light study and I passed the exam this morning. Thank you! Hardest part was satisfying the proctor who would did not like any of my home testing locations, luckily I was disconnected to this proctor and another one was much more lenient. Good Luck All!

29:12 It says that ECS is the Auto-scaling service. ECS is the Elastic Container Service, an AWS managed platform to develop and run containerized applications.

You skipped Batch, the EFS (1:37:40), & the Migration demo (2:20:00). At 3:30:40, instead of demoing the differences between SQS & SNS, we skipped out of order to Cloud Front.

So AWS wants the bucket naming to be "globally" unique per DNS restrictions. However, there are limitations in the naming of a bucket such as you can't use capital letters and it must be no more than 63 characters? Isn't that counterproductive? It's like Windows🪟 in their file naming schemes of yore or IPv4 with their IP address limitations.
