Pairs well with the Titanstring bow, which adds your strength modifier to your damage.

Respecc your archer to make strength as low as possible, put all the points in dex, con, and wherever else you like.

Then equip this club to get 19 strength and a bonus to every ranged attack.

I did it with a Gloomstalker Ranger/Assassin Rogue, and I was doing about 50 damage per round by level 5.

Hidden stool is the worst kind. In particular when you've got todlers

Found this out on my first playthrough. Always checked everything. When I highlighted it gave me a different txt. I sat down and gave me 21 Str. Stood up and the Str buff worn out. Larian. You SOB. I learned enough in my D&D days. This is a scenario happen to me once. So I thought. this is a stool., Could...I break it and make something outta it. Sure enough. Club of Str. BG3 is everything and what did happen in my D&D Days. Now still waiting for "bottle potion" That was mixed with 7 different and curses a Insane Rogue>

I made Astarion a monk and gave him this club. He just went around punching people and this club was amazing for it

Got this in my first campaign by complete accident. I’m not a D&D player so I wasn’t checking every little thing out. Decided to kill them all. Blew up that sentry dude with a spell that broke the stool. Noticed the club on the ground when I went to loot. Club is now a cornerstone for every campaign.

I didn't find this to be a very effective weapon, however when I gave it to my sorcerer who was an 8 strength, it kept his jump distance up and gave him a boost the few times he was challenged with an occasional strength roll

It’s decent but never really much use for it since hill giant potions are a higher buff

That club is perfect for most of my builds. Not for damage, mind you, but for boosting my carry strength if I don't feel like using a potion of giant strength.

That used to be a problem because I'd only be able to sell so much loot, since enemies and loot were finite, meaning I'd only be able to buy so many things before I'd run out of gold... That is, until I decided to cheese the vendors with the Blade Pact Warlock (Eldritch Knight also works). Pact-bind a decently expensive weapon, unequip it after binding it, highlight it and a random bit of sellable loot (spare weapon, gem, bit of jewelry, whatever you have handy), set both as wares, but if you want to keep the ware for sentimental reasons or it's a useful weapon you might use later, remember to un-ware the loot/gear, but not the pact-bound weapon. Go to a vendor, buy what you want, then sell all wares. You'll sell the pact-bound weapon, but it _can't be removed from your inventory, _ and it remains selected as a ware to sell. This means you can sell that weapon infinitely, for all the money you could ever need, and the vendor won't even get mad at you as you buy all their goods that you want (like, say, enough hill giant elixirs to fill an ocean, enough thundering arrows to shift continental plates, or enough smokepowder bombs and smokepowder arrows to make Michael Bay envious).😈

But yhat chair leg comes in handy when you need to jump farther than normal or carry a bunch of loot, or use the Titanstring Bow with a +4 on top of your other damage modifier.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I accidentally broke that stool in combat and didn't realise that the club on the ground was from the stool.
