Nice! Good to see it didn’t over heat, especially pushing it so hard. HOBBYWING is killing it with their new line up!

Great review! We put this in our 6s Kraton (aka Krator) and it is amazing! No issues with the bluetooth. It connects every time to my Samsung android phone. It is bigger than the stock motor and esc, but it just fits. I was also worried about fitting a heat sink and fans on the motor, but so far the motor seems to run pretty cool without! Hobbywing must have some magical wizardry going on in there! This is a great system so far. We need to get more packs through it, but it is very impressive!

Nice! Really good temps as well. I have used the max8 linebup with really good success. FYI they do make an adapter cable so you can run any sensored motor with the ESC.

a very good overview mate.... i like it.... my only concern is the bluetooth only programing. The reviews on the google play store are not good, (allot of connectivity issues with newer android devices) it was the reason i decided not to get the OTA for the Max 8 G2.

I will replace all my esc with built in blue tooth if i could. that seems awsome. i have never had an issue with blue tooth module myself except hooking it into port

The original RTR Kraton/Outcast 8S had the same issue. 5mm motor shaft and they kept breaking like yours did. So Arrma changed to a 8mm shaft.

It’s fair to say that if you have an Xmaxx and want a stock motor performance with a better built motor, this is the combo. I personally though thing the 5690 is ideal for the Xmaxx/xrt. Mild power boost so the diffs aren’t getting shredded, but still noticeably better than stock.

Just got it for my Typhon TLR, should be plenty of power to move around an 8 pounds truck.

I'm thinking about pairing the Max 6 G2 with hobbywings 4278 G2 motor mainly for low temps both motor and ESC have same size bullets and as far as I'm a ware the same sensor wire

The 5690 is a combo option for the Max 6. I’m sure, with that motor, it would most definitely handle that machine.

hey THE best screwdriver is the dewalt 8v gyro with the adjustable clutch. you will never use another e-driver

Love your vids !!!! What gearing were you using . I have the g2 combo but with the 1250kv going in a 8s Kraton what a good bashing gearing would be good ? Thanks brother keep it going with those great vids .

Can this handle 8s? On 6s, in the Mojave I cant say its worth the money over the stock Spektrum system. Definitely not as fast, that is one thing. Plus, the throttle control is barely noticeable. I was told not to run 8s so we are gonna put the Spektrum system back in and get rid of this. Big waste of money. Went from hitting 62 mph with the stock Spektrum system and pinion, to this Hobbywing, with a 20 tooth and 57 mph.
