So you're saying I can buy a complete kit, for the same price as a single foam punch pattern.... Thanx Fella! You just saved me a lot.

Thanks Shannon I really appreciate the info and will get a set. I am retired and wanted to get at set of cutters but you are right the cost was more than I thought it was worth for as many as you had to purchase. So I made some patterns I just trace and hand cut and shape with a lighter. This would save a lot of time I can see. Love the channel and have been a subscriber for a while and enjoy all your videos. thanks again.

I found foam kneeling pads at Dollar tree in 5 different colors. They are 1/2 inch thick plus the tops are textured. Makes really good frog pattern foam. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Cool! Nice to have a cheaper option. For someone with a bit of skill, knowledge and tools, one could make some wood 'holders' like the fancy brand ones. Dremel, router or chisel out a pocket in a plywood scrap to fit and epoxy those in. Ones you don't use the shape of, maybe worth trying to reshape them Anneal with a propane torch (Good chance they are some type of spring steel). Hammer into another shape or cut and rebend. Heat, quench, temper in an oven.
I was thinking of making some out of old band saw or hack saw blades. Pretty much looks like that's what the original ones were, or at least the first thing I thought of when I saw them.

Thanks for posting about this kit. Do the punches hold up well to repeated use? If they seem durable, I’ll definitely buy one. Long ago, I taught leather work in a teen program and never saw a kit this good when buying tools.
