Kevin is one of the few academics/experts in this arena that has the trust and respect of virtually everyone. Kevin calmly but passionately explains the facts as they are understood today. We would do well not just listen to Kevin but to act on what he says, though as he suggests we are have already left it very late to bend the curve anywhere near where it needs to be, to avoid passing many of the tipping points that we are approaching.

Oil is the largest, wealthiest, most powerful industry in the history of the world. At this point, given 30+ years of failure, it needs to shrink by 95+% in the next 5-10 years. KEVIN, Snoopy Says “I have seen the enemy - he is us”. We must activate a massive public education program with the objective of making people realize that it is us - the average person, who has to stop using fossil fuels. My kids use fossil fuels like there is no tomorrow. - and the fossil fuel corporations are happy to supply the demand. I remember in the. 40’s. In the UK a massive advertising program “is your journey really necessary?” And today it is surprising how often I find that the trip I was proposing can easily wait until tomorrow, when it can be combined with another task. Can you save a liter of gasoline today - and every day? This will make a big impact if everybody does it.

I live in Alberta Canada. Good efing luck with that. I think when the AMOC shuts down then the majority of people will wake up, but by then it will be too late. But before then there will probably have already been a major Famine somewhere in the world. I could say more, but why bother. I'm 60. I have seen a lot of change. My children's generation haven't seen as much change, so it's the same to some of them. It's always been like this to them.

It's all very well a good but he does not touch on what needs to be discussed. We need to have reached net zero on global warming emissions by 2050. We have done nothing to slow the release of greenhouse gases. I will give one example of what we must consider. The estimates for the percentage of total emissions due to meat production range from 14% to 18%. Think about this for a bit.
