ComfyUI, how to Install ControlNet (Updated) 100% working 😍

DON'T UPDATE COMFYUI AFTER EXTRACTING: it will upgrade the Python "pillow to version 10" and it is not compatible with ControlNet at this moment.

If you're encountering hurdles while installing ControlNet on ComfyUI, fear not! I've meticulously documented each step in this video to guide you through the process. Follow the instructions below, and you'll have ControlNet operating smoothly on ComfyUI in no time.

2: Extract the files using 7zip software. While other extraction tools can be used, I personally recommend 7zip for optimal results.

3: Prior to updating or adding any extensions, navigate to ComfyUI_windows_portable\ComfyUI\custom_nodes and type 'CMD' in the address bar.

6: Upon completion of the installation, launch ComfyUI. It will utilize any preprocessor and necessary files will be downloaded from the internet automatically once you hit the Queue button. Enjoy the seamless integration!

Hey I've been struggling with ComfyUI in spite of its objectively superior UI it was intimidating to take my hands on, but watching your videos I think I got the general idea of ComfyUI. Thx! I'm on Mac btw, so installation was a lot different but was not painful for me.
(ps: I love node-red too. node UI rocks)

hi, i can't find any 'frame pre-processor' for all contnet models exept the cany one, i have the prerocessor node for cany and it kind of working, but other contnet models there's no preprocessor nodes exist for them, and using other than cany, all gives un accurate results, if that required frame preprocessor for them, how to get them fix that ?..and thanks for your efforts.

Hi, Thanks A lot for sharing this.
there is several components of the preprocessor (contrlNet) which seems to occur some issues.
for example, all the normal_depth_map.

I am getting the following error:
Error occurred when executing MiDaS-NormalMapPreprocessor:

name 'midas' is not defined

File "C:\Stable SDXL_ComfyUI_New\ComfyUI\execution.py", line 145, in recursive_execute
output_data, output_ui = get_output_data(obj, input_data_all)
File "C:\Stable SDXL_ComfyUI_New\ComfyUI\execution.py", line 75, in get_output_data
return_values = map_node_over_list(obj, input_data_all, obj.FUNCTION, allow_interrupt=True)
File "C:\Stable SDXL_ComfyUI_New\ComfyUI\execution.py", line 68, in map_node_over_list
results.append(getattr(obj, func)(**slice_dict(input_data_all, i)))
File "C:\Stable SDXL_ComfyUI_New\ComfyUI\custom_nodes\comfy_controlnet_preprocessors\nodes\normal_depth_map.py", line 42, in estimate_normal
depth_map_np, normal_map_np = common_annotator_call(midas.MidasDetector(), image, a, bg_threshold)

Much appreciated.
