Don’t be afraid of seeking help people! Ive never been an alcoholic but I used to be a pill addict. It took me 2 years of hell before I went to rehab. I’m 9 months clean and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been

I am a functioning alcoholic and I’m seeking help. I’m not abusive but I make dumb mistakes and spend lots of money to support my habit. I have lost motivation to work out and I’m sure my kids can tell if I’ve been drinking. I have a wife I feel I’m getting ready to lose.
I would never want her to be unhappy.

Some of these comments are so sad! Clearly, they don’t understand alcoholics! Why do we always have to be so mean and judgmental? Compassion is the appropriate response!
