You could draw some waves in the sea to decorate it, and maybe a sea monster or a ship. This is good to fill the wide white space

I often get the urge to draw maps and create a world. I've never played D&D, but I'm going to try and get my friends into it. thanks for the videos WASD20!

Part of why i love D&D, you can be so creative with the game.

My favorite as a DM. I love drawing maps, then building the story according to geography.

I have to say that I like the look of the hand drawn compass better than if you had used a straight edge. Hand sketched gives it more of an authentic feel.

Awesome map. I need more practice. I love the coastline wave details.

Well done! I probably would have soaked it in a tray of hot coffee and baked it dry in the oven to give it that “aged parchment” look. Although it’s usually better to do that before you draw the map. Either way it looks great.

I really like how you made the continent pop out by raising it up from the sea a little with shading. Good job!

That's astounding. I've never been any good at drawing my own maps but what you've shown her may help me out a lot. Thanks for posting this.

This is one of the best, if not the best, hand drawn map I've ever seen

I've gotta say, as a new DM, these videos have been super helpful, thank you! I've got a small group who's brand new; I'm doing all the research, and have found that a visual representation really helps! Otherwise, my games are in shambles. I've never been good at cartography, but this helped, thank you!

Im loving the Guitar Pro music in the background and how it comes out of nowhere.Brought back some old memories of when I used the program for my first band, lol. Im not sure if its actually Guitar Pro, but it certainly sounds very much like the realism playback mode, lol.

Great map, good video.

This video will definitely improve my future maps! No more triangle mountains, all ridge lines next time. I never did get the hang of representing forests either, I like this method. Thanks for making this video!

“It’s not super realistic I just like the way it looks”

GOOD, because it looks AMAZING!

Excellent map, thanks for the video. I learned a lot just from watching you, can't wait to liven up my (currently very utilitarian) world map.

I know I'm late to the party on this, but I just discovered your map. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I've done a few maps for the worlds of my books and your techniques have given me some ideas! Thanks for showing this!
