MS. ASTRO CHICKEN (PC DOS) - Longplay [Space Quest IV Mini Game] (uncommented)

MS. ASTRO CHICKEN: FLIGHT OF THE PULLET originally debuted as a mini game in the Sierra adventure SPACE QUEST IV. However, it is also available as standalone game for PC MS-DOS. To be completely honest, I still don't know if this is an official release or if some fan ripped it out of the game and put it in the wild without consent.

Either way, MS. ASTRO CHICKEN is probably one of the greatest and most addicting mini games out there. Its premise is as simple as it is fun: You are in control of a flying chicken, trying to make it home safely while avoiding all sorts of dangers such as windmills, hunters, dogs or (what I believe are) flying foxes. Certain enemies can be killed by bombarding them with eggs. However, these shots need to be timed precisely in order to hit their targets. Hits will not only result in hilarious animations but also points. Your egg counter can be filled up by collecting corn fresh from the fields. If you fly through a fence, it will act as shield and you will be immune against one hit of the flying foxes. In the standalone version (which is played in this video) - you sucessfully finish the game after reaching a score of 250 points. As far as I know, this is not the case with the mini game version in SPACE QUEST IV.

You can play the game with either mouse or keyboard.
