RANGERS FOUNDERS TRAIL

I went on the Rangers Founders Trail to learn more about the origins of Rangers Football Club.

Rangers FC were formed in 1872 and will soon celebrate their 150th birthday as a football club! In this video I learned about the formation of the club in Fleshers' Haugh, Glasgow Green.

We also explored the sites of each Rangers stadium until we reached their modern day giant, Ibrox. Finally, we saw the graves of their founding fathers and greatest ever manager, Bill Struth.

I did enjoy that video, even though I’m a Celtic fan. I walk over the old Burnbank pitch in the west end every day and never knew it till now. It’s great to learn about the history of our football clubs!

It is a wonderful and inspirational story that four young teenage boys started a street football team that would become world famous. Its magical, the stuff of Hollywood films.

Great stuff. I've been on the founders trail. It's highly informative throughout. Ian and Gordon are a credit to the club. It's a fascinating tour of the humble beginnings of the Rangers and those gallant pioneers that formed the club that would become the most decorated in the world of football. A great upload. 👏🏻👏🏻

The founders trail is an absolutely must for any Rangers fan. The work these guys do to preserve the club's history is fantastic.

Best thing about going to ibrox is everytime you see it you just fall in love with the club even more and when you take the bairns to they first game they are starstruck when they see the stadium then they walk up the stairs and see the pitch 🔴⚪🔵

4 lads had a dream, to start a football team.
They had no money, no kit, not even a ball.
They still carried on, the Rangers were born.
After 55 titles, we’re still going strong!

These guys do impeccable and invaluable work. Not enough is done in Scotland or the UK to protect and promote football heritage, given the impact on culture and society the sport has. Thanks for sharing their work, the trail is remarkable and id recommend it to anyone visiting Glasgow.

Fantastic video Sam. As you know I'm really into the history of Scottish football, especially of my favourite club, and after I recover fully from my heart op (hopefully in another couple of months to be on the safe side) the founders trail is 2nd on my priority list of things I want to do, after the Ibrox tour.

Great video I’m a Leeds fan but follow Rangers and stenny in Scotland for 50 years brilliant history there n brilliant video I love the programmes going back in time looking at history, did you know my club used to be called Leeds city until changed in 1919 to Leeds Utd for illegal payments to a player ! That would make a great programme too

Sam mate, I fucking love you man. Sorry I've not replied to one of your previous replies to one of my comments, I will one day and always knew I would. It was the vid where you jumped about Glasgow and told us all about the history of all the Hampdens! Need to actually find it somehow, which put me off the longer it went lol anyway, I watch pretty much all your vids, I'm sub'd and you, my man, are nothing short of a football legend. Your content is some of the best on YT mate, possibly slightly biased as I'm a Rangers fan haha but even your other stuff is fuckin' excellent! You love the game. The game loves you. An' if they ain't bought before payday, I'll be sending you some dosh. lol PS - Shall enquire soon! WATP #1
