This is a really cool and fun effect, thanks for posting! I did one additional step that for me further enhances the "ASCII art" aspect of the image: I applied a pixelation command to the underlying original image in the mask group, using a pixelation block size equal to the size of each character (calculated by dividing the width and length of the image by the number of characters per row, and number of rows). By doing this each ASCII character has a single color across the whole character.
