They explained it a little in the movie because the AVL tells them that they can't see dru because they are in witness protection and that not even dru can know where they are.

Well in Kung Fu Panda 4 the furious 5 got pushed away for a fox and now despicable Me 4 Dru gets pushed away for a Spoiled Rich Girl so this is not Surprising

People say that Despicable Me three is a bad movie. I say yes and no yes is because there is many plat lines but the good is that the family is the most important thing of all the Despicable Me franchise. The minions are too annoying because their movie didn’t give Kevin, Stuart and Bob a unique personality. Bob could’ve been the hero and defeated Scarlett Overkill, instead of Kevin. And he could learn to let his own fear go, and holding on to his Teddy for too long. I think that was my rewrite of the Minions movie.

Dru is not leaving he’s not ending or anything. He was in the end of Despicable Me four if you watched it, but if you didn’t watch it, you would have known that he’s not coming back he is coming back

I did not just hear that from anybody on YouTube. I actually saw it myself when we were at the movie. Theaters with me and my family were at the movie theater, so don’t call me a liar.
