As a late game ironman, I don't really value the brimstone keys for their resources - only uniques. Superiors don't add *that* many (effectively an extra 1/100 monsters), and the chest itself just doesn't have that many resources I care about. Magic logs are a writeoff, so are steel bars since I'm never really making cannonballs. Runite ore is still too rare to be valuable for exp, it's more just there for the alch value once refined. Iron ore is a write off. The gems are not bad, but also not great since anything you need for jewelry you mine, and you don't really get enough for them to make a real dent in your crafting. The gold ore is effectively just saving cash from buying things at Blast Furnace store.

Basically the resource drops are like "Sure, it's a bonus to my banked exp." but it doesn't really do much for me immediately, nor does it cut the grind down that much compared to how much it slows down slayer, and by extension slows down getting the heart. Every nech task I can't barrage could have been a great chance for the heart, for instance, and that time saved on those tasks can be used to gather the resources the chest might have given me in the first place.

Really, the only valuable resources are the seeds, but outside of snapdragon and torstol they're not all that important once you're 99, and even then farming contracts take care of most of your needs. So at this point Konar is basically just there for coll log. Which is nice, mind you, I like going for log slots, but I find it hard to justify doing Konar when I still don't have a heart or eternal. I've already gotten my hydra uniques, so at this point the plan for me is looking like "Get Heart/Gem, swap to Konar." mixing and matching is just not viable due to needing vastly different block lists sadly.

Of course, I acknowledge this is from a main's POV where the GP from Hydra is a lot more valuable since you can convert it into other resources, I just find it hard to justify chasing dusk mystic pre-heart and this comment is partly just rationalizing my decision to keep doing Duradel.

I’d like a block list that maximizes superiors and brimstone keys. Mid game iron man those keys are pretty nice

No araxyte tasks means no reason to do konar.

I just finally got my first Hydra task. Im pretty hyped to finally learn it (even tho Im kinda nervous of planking a bunch lol). Trying to sell my heart drop to get a dragon slayer weapon. The task weight manipulation at the end of the video is amazing! It took me til level 96 the first time to get a Hydra task and your telling me I can have it at 1/15? Sold.

Been doing konar task ever since I could do them and going to until I get 99

Im watching this forgetting i got 99 slayer recently lol. Duradel was supremely fast with all the burst tasks. But i diddnt make nearly as much money per hour as i do point boosting for hydra tasks.

At lvl 75 cb I got 3 brimstone keys and made over 925k off a dagganoth task. I’m broke so I think ima continue to make Konar my slayer master loool

Can you make a guide about slayer in general and when to go to different masters and stuff personally I'm combat 70 ISH ATM and doing slayer with crystilia and wondering if I should do konar or if it would be to hard ect ect

i still don't like konar because of some of the bullshit locations, brimstone keys are okay i guess, the only reason i do konar now is to get any hydra tasks.
