Very good movie. Amazing shots, amazing music and a nice presenter. For me, Old Mycenae is archaic beginnings of our civilization. Civilization based on Greek culture, Roman law and Christian ethics. It must be remembered that when the Mycenaean civilization flourished, the Eighteenth Dynasty (Hatshepsut, Tuthmosis III, Tuthmosis IV, Amenhotep II, Amanhotep III and IV known as Akhenaten) and later the nineteenth dynasty (Ramesses I, Seti and Great Ramses II) reigned in Egypt. . You can see what there was a gulf in the development of construction and architecture between Mycenae and Egypt. At this time, Thebes was at its peak of heyday. This will change in later centuries. Classical Greek culture will break out and Rome will break out, and Europe will take over the world hegemony.

Superb, Irena. I imagine construction at Mycenae, using those megaliths was quite the task. What amazes me most about the Ancient world's structures, is the degree of precision involved; by modern standards of building, there's is on another level altogether. How can you not be impressed - no steel gantry cranes or JCB's to carry those stones - especially over great distances. Fabulous ! Looking forward to watching Heracles' compound.

It was a dream of mine to visit Mycenae that I consider the beginning of Greek and maybe European civilization.
I remember sitting for hours in the treasury of Atreus, trying to visualize the funeral processions and put together all I had read of this bronze age civilization.
You can even do some acoustic tricks in the treasury.
So glad you didn't use bouzouki music. The sound fits the video. Good work.

Many people believe there once were giants amongst us. This goes back to antiquity. Goliath would be an example of giants showing up in literature. So logically, many think megalithic structures were built by larger humans. Food for thought.
You need more viewers. 😘
