A walk in NYC through the neighborhood of Norwood, Bronx to the Bronx High School of Science at Bedford Park. I walk on Bainbridge Avenue, Gun Hill Road, and Jerome Avenue.

From Wikipedia:
"Norwood, also known as Bainbridge, is a working-class residential neighborhood in the northwest Bronx, New York City. It is bounded by Van Cortlandt Park and Woodlawn Cemetery to the north, the Bronx River to the east, and Mosholu Parkway to the southwest. The area is dominated topographically by what was once known as Valentine's Hill, the highest point being near the intersection of 210th Street and Bainbridge Avenue, where Gun Hill Road intersects, and around the Montefiore Medical Center, the largest landowner and employer of the neighborhood. Norwood's main commercial arteries are Gun Hill Road, Jerome Avenue, Webster Avenue, and Bainbridge Avenue.

The neighborhood is part of Bronx Community District 7 and is patrolled by the NYPD's 52nd Precinct. As of the 2000 United States Census, the seven census tracts that make up the neighborhood have a population of 40,748."

32:05, that's not just any Bee-Line bus, this is their newest bus fleet to run on the streets of New York City and Westchester County, the 2018 New Flyer XDE60. These units are numbered #301-#378, and were built as replacements for the 2002 Neoplan USA AN460s. They are powered by a Cummins L9 EPA 2017 with a BAE Systems HDS300 Series-E Hybridrive.

This was so watchable. I felt like I was there with you. A really good look at some of The Bronx and good narration too.

Rochembau was the street we lived on when I was a little kid back in 1986.

Wow I used to live there off 3215 Bainbridge Ave. I live in California now so it’s cool to see the old neighborhood in 2020! Thanks for sharing. It’s a pretty chill area in the Bronx.

Thanks for the tour of my Norwood neighborhoods. Just walked from 205th to Bainbridge& 210th. As you saw.. NONE of us walk on Jerome below the #4 Mosholu Pkwy stop.. even during daylight.. Not because it's dangerous.. because nothing's there! 😊

Good job in the future maybe you could do the landmarks . The bronx has the most of all the boroughs. I have lived here my whole life and there are alot of good places to see and do things here.

It fascinates me all the different types of little business's there are. I wonder how they start the business in the first place. Do they get grants...it must be an amazing journey for even some of these business owners... I love seeing what all the shops are and the energy of the people and their storys going in them and about their day. I love these videos

This is my old block! I would take either the "D" or the "4" trains. I would come out right here, when I took the "D" from Columbus Circle in Manhattan. It let's you off right on the corner of 205th & Bainbridge, which is the last stop on the "D." I lived on Rochambeau Avenue on the other side of this block, heading towards East Mosholu Pkwy. I miss it SO much. Good memories.

I went to The Bronx High School of Science from 1967 to 1970. It was a crazy time, and like our older Brothers and Sisters at Columbia U., we took over the school in September 1968, during the teacher's strike, and ran classes ourselves with several friendly teachers for two weeks. It was a life changing experience!

Growing up in this neighborhood, there was debate even amongst ourselves on how to pronounce Moshulu. Your MOW-shulu introduces a third option we never even thought of.

Surprised you never mentioned DeWitt Clinton H.S. My old school. And one of the most
famous, if not thee famous H.S. in all of NYC. Also, like to correct you. If you had made
a right on Jerome Ave, to Paul Ave. after the Mosholu Pwky. train stop. Not only would
that route been better lighted, safer, but also quicker in reaching your destination
B.H.S.O.S. Just an observation from an old "Bronx Boy". 73 years young, retired and
living in South Florida. By the way, I enjoy your work. Please keep it going. Thanks.
