Friends, our Gospel this Sunday is taken from the tenth chapter of Mark, and it is high-octane spiritual business. Something pivotal is being laid out for us in this passage, and it has to do with power, suffering, and a willingness to go where Jesus goes.

Even though I am not a Christian, I deeply admire the universal truth of its teachings. I came to understand that ultimately what matters is the the person delivering the teachings - has he truly lived the words that he speaks? I find that this man is truly genuine.
One of the ways I got engaged with Christianity is through listening to devotional music. Arvo Part’s music is pure ineffability. His music is enough to make an atheist a believer. I recently fell in love with his piece Da Pacem Domine (2004). Oh man..

"Can you drink the cup that I drink or be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized? " Thanks for elaborating on this saying of my Lord. That's a question that cuts into my soul because I love comfort and I am inherently lazy. Lord please help me to start drinking your cup in accordance with your will, not mine. At least James and John were somewhat drinking his cup at the time of his selfish request. Sometimes I am not even sure if I am even close to drinking the Lord's cup. Thanks to the Holy Spirit I am at least listening to Lord's word through Bishop Barron, which is a start. Lord please strengthen Bishop Barron so he can continue to strengthen us. AMEN.

Holy Spirit, direct me in my career, and finances. As a single mother with two children with special needs life is an overwhelming journey, especially because I’m constantly faced with financial difficulties. Lord I struggle to provide the basic necessities for my sons, like groceries and rent. I pray for your divine intervention in my life, that you would provide for my children’s needs and guide me towards financial stability in Jesus name I pray.💕❤️

I’ve spent some time at the top, it’s not what you think. It’s much harder than you ever imagined because what do you want to do but remain at the top. When my time was up in that particular position, I was extremely insulted and felt that the people that made the change didn’t know what they were doing. Thank God, I had no idea how much it had changed me as a person I was unpleasant. I was always looking for the next problem. The next situation that I could shine in I was not a good person. I didn’t know that at the time, but in the years that I followed, and in serious reflection, I have found out that indeed I was, be careful what you wish for. Thank you, Bishop. This was an excellent sermon.

"Real power, real glory, they look like a willingness to enter into the suffering of the world and with Christ, yoked, yoked to him to help him bear the suffering of the world." *- Bishop Robert Barron*

Your sermons always teach me a valuable lesson, thank you Bishop Barron, I take medication for anxiety and giving into my anxieties causes me to act out in this way at times, but after hearing your sermon, I know that it's best to surrender to God's will and embrace the cross that has been given to me, faith makes it possible and May God continue to bless you 🕊🙏⚘️ Vivat Jesus! 📖

So grateful that God never stops loving us so we can never stop loving Him even when the people we love pass away or no longer with us. Thank you Lord!

❤Many thanks to Bp Barron for this powerful underlining / To desire «The Power and the Glory » & yet not being ready to bear its burden Voluntarily?! That’s not gonna work. ( such «the rooster crows» from far distance, from « Faraway & yet So Close! » to everyone of us )
