The Marriott hotel construction site at the former Joe Louis Arena site in downtown Detroit, Michigan. Located on Steve Yzerman Dr.

Location: The hotel is being built next to Huntington Place (formerly Cobo Center) on the Detroit Riverfront.

Size and Features: It will be a 25-story structure with 600 rooms. The hotel will include 50,000 square feet of meeting spaces, restaurants, a lobby bar, a market, a full-service spa, and a pool.

Connectivity: It will be directly connected to Huntington Place via a skybridge, enhancing its appeal for convention attendees.

Completion: The hotel is expected to be completed by early 2027, aligning with hosting guests for the Men's NCAA Final Four tournament in Detroit in March of that year.

Economic Impact: The development is anticipated to generate over $100 million in new annual spending for the area, significantly boosting the local economy. It's also expected to help Detroit attract larger conventions and events due to its direct connection with the convention center.

Developer: The project is being developed by the Sterling Group in Detroit in collaboration with the Detroit Regional Convention Facility Authority (DRCFA).

Financing: The project is being financed by Ullico, which also provided financing for the adjacent Residences at Water Square
