Woman Code is seriously one out of the 5ish books I love. I have bought three different ones and given them as gifts. I look at it as a reference book probably an average of a couple times per month and I've had it for around 4 years. I absolutely love love love it!!! So glad you discovered it too!!! I've recommended it to many people over the years. ❤️❤️❤️

I just ordered the book a few days ago after hearing Alisa Vitti on a podcast. I've never had issues with a regular cycle, but being on hormonal birth control for a year screwed everything up for me - my hormones are totally off kilter. I'm also planning on educating myself about the Fertility Awareness Method, along with the Caya diaphragm as my birth control from here on out. Super excited to be taking charge of my body, and looking forward to learning more about myself in the process :)

I love this book. I don't agree 100% with everything - some of the food recommendations for example, but it's a great book and I keep going back to it all the time.

I saw Alisa a long time ago on TedTalks and I loved her ideas, I didn't know she had a book until now, I bought it straight away after listening to your review, it's seems to include everything I'm becoming interested in. I think this topic is something everyone should know more about and thankfully we can educate ourselves more these days. Thank you for sharing

Woah! I had no idea this dealt with PCOS. It is on my must-buy list. My ovaries have literally almost killed me due to PCOS and I'm trying to find the path to healing and lessening the severity of the symptoms. Thanks for this!

I love Alisa and Woman Code!! I just started the diet again and the first time I did it, I started getting the "waves of bliss" in the second week! Definitely amazing and a huge step for women and women's health!!

You recommended this book to me a couple weeks ago and I bought it and LOVE it. Your review is spot on, this book is jam backed with great info and I go back to it again and again to figure out what is going on with my body and how I can fix it with the food I eat. I have already noticed a huge difference in my energy level. I did have to adjust my diet due to my body needing more sugar than I anticipated, but was a super easy fix! I love how this books help you tailor things to your specific needs. And also the description of how you feel in each stages of your cycle was so spot on and made everything's click for me! Awesome book.
(Sorry for the rambling haha)
I look forward to more book reviews! :)

Just added it to my cart on Amazon! Love all of your advice on this topic. I'm in the process of going off of HBC for the second time (I gave up after 4 months the first time due to horrible acne!) and your story and references give me hope. Food is medicine! Food and time!

I just started reading The Woman Code. I've had endometriosis and irregular periods for years. Giving up my coffee, tea, and energy drinks is a challenge, but if my cycles heal, it will be worth it!

I love this book. Just finished it and am also re-reading certain parts. I too struggle with the dietary recommendations. There are so many different ways to eat vegan and many people promoting each specific vegan diet seem healthy and happy. I come from the high carb low fat school of thought, yet fully trust Dr. Greger, who is a big proponent of eating lots of nuts ("How Not To Die"). I trust him because he knows how to read the research. I have to believe that eating in the way Alisa spells out for us must help the hormones if she has had years and years of experience helping women heal themselves. I think what I'm going to do is eat for my cycle according to Alisa, and if I see the results I want to see one day and feel like my health is in order, I might experiment with lowering the fat.

Over 50 % of women with PCOS are overweight and therefore losing weight is considered to be the main treatment for PCOS (instead of birth control pills or other hormonal treatments). I think it's great that the author promotes diet as a way for women to overcome health issues, and I'm definitely interested in reading the book.

One of my favorite episodes of The Lively Show podcast (and I've listened to them all, since day one) is Alisa Vitti's episode. Have a listen and tell me what you think!

I haven't finished the book yet but I skimmed through it and it seems like she recommends animal protein and high fats which doesn't make sense with the research I've done about hormones and what personally works for me is a high carb low fat vegan diet. What is your take on that?

I need to read that book! I've had a low libido for a long time now. If it's not too personal, it would be cool for you to talk about how the book has helped your libido in a future video - assuming it did help.

Hey Victoria! Love your videos! I was wondering if you would consider doing a video on UTI's and how to prevent them. :)

Sounds like a cool book. And I have a video request. I haven't taken the pill for about 5 years but I still only get my period every 2 months and the month it skips, I feel so sick and get scared that I'm pregnant but then I'm not. Can you talk about reasons for an irregular cycle of you're not on the pill??
