I obviously didn't know it was going to be reprinted when I sold it to you. When I found out I was afraid you were going to be bummed and I'm glad that's not the case.

I figured you would be stoked it was unpunched since I didn't mention that when we emailed back and forth. I actually only opened it once just to see what the pieces and board looked like. Sorry I put the boxes back together in the wrong order. :)

I have 1942 2nd edition, Anniversary 2nd edition, Europe & Pacific 2nd editions.

Thousands of pieces. THOUSANDS.

With a global game layed out on the kitchen table, all these pieces were in their trays, in a box, with the top off, sitting on a chair.

In the middle of last night I awoke to a crash.

I have 3 cats. By this afternoon (after I get through picking up) I think I will have 3 new sets of fur lined slippers.

To clarify: Artillery, destroyers, victory cities and individual research was introduced by A&A Revised. Some of that stuff was even earlier introduced by Xeno Games The World at War expansion for the MB version. Still a very involved and history version that is often overlooked.

I've only ever played the original back in the day. Fun game, but it's so hard to get people together to play. Shame, fun weekend game to play with friends.

I have the re released Anniversary Edition of Axis and Allies and agree it the best A&A game of the lot, the only thing I wished they did, was more units unique to Italy, but other than that, perfect game!!

I have this game but no one to play with. I play with myself but it takes about 4 hours per turn

You guys should do a video comparing the 1940 Europe/Pacific global rules, and the 1941 Anniversary Edition, detailing the differences, and explaining why you might like one more than the other.

If you like playing WWII strategy game, the most historical accurate version of the game is from Historical Board Game, the Global War series. (Personal opinion) You can choose to buy a 1936-1945 version or a 1939 version. They are even better than Axis&Allies Global 1940. If you have tons of money, a lot of spare time and with an excellent gaming community, go for them!

There also had been a very well done Computer game Version by HASBRO done at the end of the Ninetieth with the preword of the creator of AXIS&ALLIES. I loved that one untll it had been no more compatible with my PC. Naturally I have the board game also. :) Every time I like to put an ax to the Axis as it was said in this long time forgotten musical QUOTE UNQUOTE.

What’s the difference between this original and the one I bought at a store today? I just got one that looks exactly the same, just rules?

The board size is it larger than the 1940 europe and pacific put together or smaller or same size?
