Borough Market is one of the largest food markets on the planet, and there is plenty here to get full without spending a fortune. From British food or international treats from across the globe – there’s always something for everybody at Borough Market.

From the Market, you will also stroll around parts of Southwark and see 3 important landmarks, Southwark Cathedral (Shakespeare's church), a reconstruction of the Golden Hinde, Francis Drake's ship that he used to circumnavigate the globe, and the notorious Clink Prison.

You'll also get some nice views of London and the Thames.

So wonderful to see independent traders thriving. This must be what London used to be like. Quite reassuring to see 💜

I was last at Borough Market in 2018 and it's one of my favorite places in London! It's too bad security stopped you from filming more of Borough Market. When I was there I was filming everywhere but luckily nobody stopped me

Another great tour - have you seen Alfred Hitchcock’s Frenzy? It’s a very average movie but does give you a great view of Covent Garden as a working market.

Out of interest, is Borough Market privately owned space ? if it is (private), then by law members of public are not permitted to film around there. If on the other hand, it is not, i.e it is openly accessible to members of public then by law you are free to film whatever your eye can see. There is an exception to this rule, if the stall owners have a legit reason to stop you from filming then one must stop. I highly doubt they do, as they do not own that space where they have set up stall(s) meaning one is free to film on as they wish.

Just because someone is wearing a high-vis jacket does not make them above the law nor are they in any authoritative position to tell you to stop filming. If anything, being filmed is a great thing as you're getting free marketing and publicity especially if the footage is uploaded onto youtube, insta, facebook etc.

Sub'd btw.

1850s, but Art Deco? Nope. That bit (the entrance alone is Art Deco) was added in 1932, hence, Art Deco, cos that would be pretty precocious by at least half a century.
