Introduction to Constitutional Law: How to Approach Constitutional Law Fact Patterns [LEAP Preview]

“If Men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and the next place, oblige it to control itself.”

– James Madison

Newly licensed attorney here, my advice to any law students who will be taking the bar exam sometime soon is to get the Studicata materials for the MEE and AdaptiBar for the MBE. That will cover everything you need for bar prep and save you a lot of money. If your jurisdiction includes the MPT you can prepare for it fairly well with free materials that you can find online. Everyone has their preferences for studying of course, but you can really only prepare so much for the MPT. It doesn't require you to memorize anything as they provide any materials you need to apply to the scenario, the important thing is to know how to draft the possible legal documents that might be tested like memos, wills, etc.

Michael is THE BEST when it comes to explaining/teaching. I really wish I knew about his videos when I was in law school.

I believe that a discussion on the articles of confederation along with economic conditions would have been helpful in understanding why we gave so much power to a central government.

Never been to law school. Very interested. Would you say law school would be more for status than necessity if I take this course? $15/month?

Good video! You did miss the whole Articles of Confederation and misquoted the Constitutional Convention as taking place in 1777 as opposed to 1787 when it actually did. Will check out more vids.

Attorney for 20 years. If you are considering going to law school: don't. It doesn't matter what law school you go to. Find a career that you can use your intelligence in a rational, beneficial way. Law is anything but rational. You can know every case, every statute, every rule, and have all the facts on your side, but the judge and/or jury will rule against you. Take all the money you are going to spend for a legal education and invest it in the stock market. In 20 years, you will be glad you read this post.
