this isn't a sheep stomach? not even close. this is a goat's skin that has been peeled from the sheep (with the legs and head cut, as well as the hindpart) and then salted. it is then tied at the back creating the strange bunching, and the neck is used for the chanter, and the legs are the drone and blowpipe. this type of bagpipe is also used in serbia and greece. Thracian countries, you see.

Thank you for sharing this. It reminds me of Italian bagpipes in Sicily they play, especially in December. Is he Greek? Turkish? Is he from somewhere else? It is hard for me to determine where the traditional outfit is from, based on what I know.
