When I was a little kid - during the mid to late 80s, my Dad would take me to get fireworks - just bottle rockets and jumping jacks and small stuff like that. Always had the time of my life - it's why I still love fireworks. But I used to stare and lust after these. I still remember them exactly how they looked - and they looked a lot like these, but in my mind they were bigger - but anyway - I wore him down one year and he finally got me a box. We go see the community fireworks down by this huge lake where he used to live, and on the way back we stop at my aunts house to finally do the butterflies. Finally. I put one down on her new concrete driveway, my Dad hands me his Salem menthol and I light that puppy. I takes off in a blaze of glory with a huge shower of sparks and serious velocity - and in a one in a million chance, drops directly down her chimney. Haha. My Dad still has the other five sitting in the box somewhere in his basement or garage. That's also when I learned about the giant black burn they leave on new driveways.

That's a very dangerous trajectory. Isn't there a licensing agency in the US that tests fireworks for safety before they're sold? Greetings from Germany.
