How to Cancel Audible Subscription

This video walks you through how to cancel your Audible membership or free trial.

Audible is a great service at a good price. The monthly cost for membership gets you a credit every month that you can use to purchase any audiobook. But while the monthly cost of membership is roughly half the cost of most audiobooks, it's still on the costly side. Whether you're a trial member who wants to make sure you don't get hit with a monthly charge, or you're a paying member who wants out, cancelling your Audible membership is a simple process that only takes a few minutes.

Step 2. Click your account name in the upper right corner of the screen to open a drop-down menu, and then click "Account Details" in the menu. You'll arrive at the Your Account screen.

Step 3. Click the blue "Cancel Membership" link that appears directly beneath the Your Membership section on the right side of the screen. A screen appears prompting you to let Amazon know why you want to cancel your Audible subscription.

Step 4. Select the radio button to the left of the reason that best illustrates why you want to cancel your Audible subscription, and then click the orange "Continue Cancelling" button. The We Hear You screen appears, presenting you with a 3-month reduced-rate deal to try and get you to stick with Audible. Click the orange "Cancel Membership" button if you don't want to take the deal. You'll be returned to the Your Account screen, where a message will be displayed toward the top of the screen verifying that your membership has been cancelled.

It’s disgusting how they make it so difficult to cancel a subscription. I paused my membership for 3 month. Totally forgot about it and they didn’t even send me an email warning me that money would be taken from my account as my membership was starting up again. But I suppose that’s the business model.

There is absolutely no way for me to cancel my subscription online on my phone through the website or application.
It's really pissing me off, I go to contact us and it says cancel subscription but it says you have to be on a desktop which is rigged and should be illegal.
Then they say if you're on mobile use the contact us button below and I press it a million times and nothing moves at all, it's not frozen I have fine internet. They've rigged it so you're unable to cancel unless you go to extreme lengths. Absolutely ridiculous, I'd love to sue them. What a joke

Omg, thank you so much for this video and the guy who said to cancel your credit card too. I knew I shouldn’t have tried their 2 month free trial. I wanted to read Prince Harry’s Spare for free. This was so frustratingly annoyingly stressful! It only took a few minutes but I would never have figured it out on my own and I’m a school teacher lol. I also had to cancel my free trial Kindle subscription, I’m exhausted!
I’m now going to buy the actual book. Thanks again!

For those logging in on a mobile web browser, go to the very bottom of the webpage and click on ‘full site’. This gives you the option to access your account as shown in this video. Found another YT video that explained this! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Very helpful. Audible user since 2011, but it stopped working abruptly today. It took 2 calls and a chat to learn that audible is no longer compatible with my beloved iphone 5s. I don’t want a new phone. Thank you!!

if your using a mobile device, change it to desktop mode and that should help u get account details and see the cancel button.

Well. In my Amazon account, it shows i've been billed $15 and change on my credit card for the membership. When i follow along with your video and log in, it shows no such blue option shown for cancelling whatsoever.

If you're on mobile and can't find an option to cancel, on Android click the 3 dots in the top right once on the audible site and then click 'switch to desktop' and from there you will find an option to cancel; I assume there is probably a similar option on I.O.S
