The best way to understand this lick when applying the two parts together is to hear the melodic character it has against yhe quarter note pulse. When I girst tried learning this I failed to hear the melody the accent snare parts frames against the quarter note pulse. The lick is very melodic and is reminiscent of big band drummers like biddy rich although here in 16th note form and in a deliberate gospel chop stylised application. The drummer here plays this so easily and so fast that its easy to moss the melodic valie inherent in the lick at first glance, or listen. This guy writes his own licks and ideas for breakfast but it was only when I tried his ideas myself that I realised the melody in his drum work. Im impressed by his skills like the rest of you but Id loke to add that his melody writing in his licks are what confirms his genious for me personally. To give an example, notice the right and left hand harmony unison stroke that starts off the phrase. Its not exclusively linear. He gelt it right to have a two handed boom to the whole enterprise. He sells the skill but his attention to details is even more valuable! He'll be in the history books of drumming, thats already set in stone

Las covers estan muy muy bien, son disfrute puro, pero a mi me gustan mas estos videos didacticos, son de gran ayuda y aparte del disfrute de las covers tienen la enseñanza.es que tienes chops y break que a la velocidad que van no los descifra ni la maquina enigma colega!!genial estepario, agradecido x el regalito!!excelente como es habitual!!
