Chris Pratt got to heal in a way he didn’t expect. During his time filming Jurassic World in 2014, the actor’s father died, and he didn’t really get to deal with the death. According to Chris, he was really trying to keep the cast’s spirits up during filming, so he didn’t take the time to properly mourn and deal with the death. For Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2, James Gunn described it as a “story about fathers”, and Chris got to open up old wounds that dealt with the death of his own father. Thanks to the movie, he was able to heal in a way he didn’t think he could.
