Did You Know This in RISE OF THE GUARDIANS? #shorts

Did you catch this about Rise of the Guardians? Unfortunately, the movie's failure caused a loss of approximately 350 jobs at DreamWorks. Although the animated film did have a dedicated fan base and earned around $300 million, its high production cost resulted in a whopping $80 million loss for the studio. As a result, the movie's anticipated profits that were supposed to support future DreamWorks projects fell through, and that may be why we've seen fewer original films from the studio since 2012. It's a shame, really, when a film's financial underperformance leads to such negative consequences. #shorts #riseoftheguardians #didyouknow #moviefacts #moviedetails

FAILURE?! THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES EVER MADE

It released around the same time as the iconic James Bond; Skyfall movie and around the same time as the final movie from Twilight. When people had to choose between very known movies and this unknown one, they spend their money on the big movies which they already knew something about.

I remember seeing it in theaters but there was NO advertising leading up to it. I think I saw a single trailer several months in advance then silence. If we hadn’t searched out movies to watch on that day we’d have never seen it. It’s a great movie

The layoffs were so unnecessary, do you realize the competition around that time? Nobody was gonna spend money to see The Avengers in theaters and then spend MORE money around the same time to see Rise of the Guardians, ROTG, in my opinion, is one of the best Dreamworks movies by far, but they didn't take all the factors into consideration

People complain about why the shows we have are trash, its because all the ones well done with beautiful animation don't get supported nearly enough.

It was too early for it’s time. If it was released NOW it would do so well

I remember seeing this movie as a kid but what I’ve heard was this movie was a bit mixed with some groups since we had little kids believing in the tooth fairy, Santa, Easter bunny, etc. and then the kids who just grew out of believing. Even my parents thought it was a little dark for me and my brother but we liked it. It’s disappointing it’s only one movie and not a franchise because I’d say it would’ve been a good franchise and to see more characters

Guys listen up! Some weeks ago i watched a del Toro's post on twitter about Rise of the guardians. I commented by writing "still hoping for a sequel" and ...
Peter Ramsey liked my comment!
So maybe there's still hope! ❤
