My dad purchased a 2003 CRV brand new when I was 10 years old. He passed away in 2008 and paid it off before he left this earth. My mom drove it but encountered issues along the way that were to expensive for us to repair so eventually we just let it sit around not being driven. Fast track to today, I pulled the engine out of it and did a full rebuild on it, it drives so smooth like a new car! I absolutely LOVE this car, 147k miles on the dash fully revived, and so blessed that my 19 month old son can enjoy it with me! I dedicated so much time and money into it I actually call it the most espensive 2nd gen on earth 😂 the sentimental value still tops that price❤ the plan is that it is going to stay in the family forever!

I have a 2004 CRV-EX. Only has 174, 000 miles on it and runs like new! I had to replace the a/c compressor and it needs shocks, but that's about it. Great car

As a tall guy, I prefer a swing out tailgate. One less thing to hit my head on.

Also, you don’t have to swing it all the way out. You could swing it a foot or so, and get smaller items in/out pretty easily.

My wife bought a Honda crv 2nd gen, in 2007, it was unsold, because the new model was already in the dealership, she had a nice price reduction. 2L petrol model, automatic gearbox, manual air conditioning, and no other extras, only the stainless steel rocker strips. Today, the car has 200, 000 kms, it works wonderfully and we are very happy, we will keep it as long as possible.

The crv mk2's are excellent cars. They're reliable, comfy, great to drive, easy to service, and built very well. ( I wish cars were made like this nowadays instead of being a computer on wheels, that we seem to be getting). Mine has done 155 thousand miles and has no let me down yet. I love my crv and plan to keep it long term. Its such a work horse.

Just picked up a 2004 Honda CRV EX Automatic with 88, 000 miles!

Found the subwoofer under the passenger seat as well which is neat.

Owned by a close friend, he did a transmission flush and solenoid swap since the transmission was starting to slam gears. Seems all good now, fingers crossed.

Here's a cool thing that i never see anyone talk about. If you put the driver and passenger seat all the way forwards, remove their headrests, and then lean all of the seats all the way back, the entire car turns into a bed. I've done it before and its really cool

My dad had the 1st gen CR-V, DX manual, I loved that thing. That also had the folding table in the back. As far as we know it’s still driving around the Big Island of Hawaii to this day.

I just bought a 2005 CRV EX trim for $500 with 169, 648 & still runs really good. Needs a tune up & shocks that’s it. Ac works really good & dries & response well for an automatic.😁
