I'd hate to discover that my kid was being taught this over a life survival skill. I don't care if you believe in that. But not agreeing or okaying isn't" I hate them!! " It's
"I have a standard for myself and my family. My children have followed( so far) that. K-5 isn't the age where they can think for themselves entirely. I would rather not have an influence on my child that can change his or her beliefs. ( again, this is different when they are older.) but that doesn't mean bully or shame others. It means coexistence."

so ridiculous. this is a sweet book. does the book "Tomboy" -by Sara Ernst bother anyone the same way? Probably not so much.
