Newhaven News - Episode 2

Newhaven News is a new segment Latest TV have created to showcase the work of students on our Digital Technologies Live Streaming course at East Sussex College.

In the second episode of Newhaven News, Chelle takes us to meet a young entrepreneur running Newhaven's only skate and surf shop, Morgan Smith. The shop, Surf n Skate has been open for two years following a friends idea to open a shop in Brighton. Morgan decided that Newhaven needed something similar after watching her 16 year old Brother skateboarding, she realised that he could help with the skate side of the business while she focused on the surfing side.

Next, Ozzy Mackie and Justine Swann introduce us to a Newhaven legend, Thomas Tipper. They go to the graveyard he is buried in, explore a bit about who he was and his significance to the town.

In the second half, the team go along to Newhaven FC to speak to John Summers, top sponsor for the team, and the Chairman of the club, Martin Garry, to learn about the changes the club are going through, including a complete rebuild of stands, the clubhouse and the pitch.
