I'm watching this a few days late, and it's an interesting coincidence that you happened to say "Another day older and deeper in debt" since company stores came up in the livestream yesterday.

Tanneries are one of the most foul, noxious smelling businesses in that era, so it's a good idea to keep them off by themselves. Next to the very toxic limestone kiln is a good location.

Looking at the trading map, it seems like one of the two river trading locations is coming from further upstream, and the other is coming up the river from the ocean, so they should be coming from both directions. Also, I'd imagine the town upstream would be very unhappy about having had its shipping access to the ocean cut off.

Sure thing :)
Search for Kyiv Pyrohiv or Pyrohiv village (used to be a village next to Kyiv and now its an outdoor museum)
there are of course some small differences in buildings, depending which region of Ukraine you look at. I believe Evheniy (Ostriv's creator) lives in Kharkiv region (thats close to russian border) so some architecture might be different from lets say middle or west of Ukraine.

Also, back in the days and even now, houses are white.... its not paint, its известь (variation of lime) (Ca(OH)2) and it was used to protect trees and houses from rotting (fungi, etc), varmints and it was also a waterproofing material.

You could move your market to the campfire area. Many markets were in the town square. Alternatively, I've heard quite a few accounts of cities around this time having markets next to the church. The priests would contact other priests and figure out what they needed and get the locals to make it, increasing profits for the town and in turn for the church. Some churchs would use their own land but most just convinced the lord to section off an area.

You forgot to switch off production for the stone well near the large granary so that might be why the people ran out of water. Not sure what production would be drawing from that though. You might want to check your other wells just in case.

The building you are going to build always leaves an outline of intersecting items. This is how i always find the entrances to the map. i take the trade depot{its the biggest building) and i drag it along the perimeter until i find the green outline that indicates the entrance. works for the land and river.

Andrievsky Descent in Kyiv is "new" mostly it was damaged during WWII, but anyway buildings are from XIX-XX(very beginning) centuries. The buildings of such are in around Kyiv (Chernihiv, Zhitomir, Khmelnitsky, Cherkasy regions), that is called Mazepa's Baroque buildings of XVIII century. The most untouched and survived architecture in Ukraine are churches some of them are millennium old. But residential and commercial buildings are mostly XX century 1890-1917 retro buildings, older buildings are very rare and mostly at the West in Lviv (there are residential and commercial buildings from XV-XIX centuries.

Funny, that building 'korchma' appears much more earlier, it's actually place for drinking like bars. You can find it in living house sectors. I guess now you can put alchohol here.

In the Netherlands churches and pubs are always placed close to each other. People go have a drink after church or at least that used to be tradition. It's not that strange that you want to place them close to each other.

Okay, before I actually watch the episode, so if this is actually addressed then so be it but I forgot i had planned to comment this on the last episode and I don't wanna forget again:
Can you, and if so should you make a seperate storage for quicklime so that it can be emptied out of the lime kiln faster and so allow them to get started on the next batch?

About currencies Ukraine had it's currency in early Mediaeval called Hryvna (a silver brick), but there were coins of different Princes sometimes called Hryvennik. But during Renaissance there were very different all around currencies.

Besides Russian Ruble is after Hryvna cut off silver brick. Ruble literally means "chop off".

So if you want mead, the only way to get it is to trade with Paniutyne. Also you have your Wells allowing production to use them that why you're running out of water!
