I'm going to go out on a limb and say "they haven't built a decent truck since 1989 " . And this tailgate will be there biggest headache right behind all the electrical problems that they have in the past 20yrs.

That multi purpose tailgate is simply awesome. I love the power drop down mechanism and step. They should have incorporated grab handle like Ford.

I want you guys to remember this question when you go to the dealership. "How do I open the tailgate when the trucks battery is dead, I'm out in the field with no way to charge, and I have a goose neck trailer hooked up?"
I asked this to the ford salesman a year ago with their new stupid push button tailgates. He was dumbfounded and a little upset. I told him, this reasoning is why I will not buy your overpriced crap.

3 flaps to make a step sounds like too much extra work. Then you have to close 3 flaps when done. Tailgate looks disgusting also with that extra tailgate inside a tailgay 😂
