Alan Jackson, is a legend, what an honor it has been to actually have lived through the same time period this gentleman hit Nashville and Country radio. He stands up for what is RIGHT, not just country music, but what is right, treating people with respect, honor and dignity. Walking out was for us the fans the bigwigs didn’t respect us during that performance. We tune in to see the country singers we listen to day in and day out on the radios get the honors the deserve. We want to see them perform because a lot of us can’t afford to travel and go to concerts so, Alan, was right it was a slap in every country music fans face that night and every musician should of walked out with him! He did that for US!

From what I can gather as a fan who's followed his music, Alan Jackson is a proud American with strong principles who understands what loyalty is. There are certain, definite absolutes that he believes in and he will not abide by those who cross the line and intrude on his principles and beliefs.
This is what I see as a fan and this is what Alan himself projects as a country music artist. I've always admired those traits. When I saw what Alan did for George Jones at the Awards show I saw a great example of the term loyalty. That same example exsisted all through their friendship and even after George died Alan exhibited signs of loyalty. I've always admired that.

Alan Jackson is my favorite country singer...songs from his heart and soul... utmost respect for his "elder hero's" of country legends from whom he was blessed to become who he is to this day...If I was in his shoes I'd have walked out too!!!! Let's keep the roots of true TO THE BONE country music alive and well...too much history, blood, sweat and tears have etched in stone the origin of COUNTRY MUSIC!!! Usurps are not allowed😮
