Regis Philbin is and always has been a class act. I remember the first time I saw him on The Joey Bishop show. Bishop was going to sing and Regis was just off-camera. Bishop asked, " What are going to do there? " Regis ad-libbed, " Harmonize? " A gentleman who survived the malicious, mawkish years with grace and professionalism. He is like a finely tailored suit from Savile Row in a polyester and plastic world. God bless him!

Kelly Ripa really comes off as self centered. Look at the crazy response she gave when Michael left. I know he should've mentioned he was leaving sooner but she made it all about her! She wouldn't even go on her own show for a week then she had the nerve to give a rant about respect in the workplace!? She also held a book about betrayals to the paps more than once, grow up. She seems Immature to me. ALSO...there's STILL no new co-host since Michael left almost A YEAR AGO!? I have a feeling she enjoys the show staying as "live with Kelly!" All about her. Seriously. Regis is the best and deserves better than that.

Augh! I always wondered why they never asked him or his wife to return to the show for a day, what a slap in the face! He genuinely seems hurt and sad over her behavior - clearly observed in his face and voice. Hearing about these rants she has really turns me off. KR stop acting like a spoiled, rotten, immature brat and call this man...he gave you this rare and huge platform to be successful and you toss him to the curb. He looks great for 85 but is getting up there and won't be here forever.

He left because they forced him out. He was renegotiating a new contract and they offered him something lower than he expected, so he said no thanks and bye. At least that was the report at the time.

It was good to hear Regis' voice from the old videos they're playing now. He felt like a friend was talking to you on TV. I do not watch the Ms Ripa show. I didnt realize she had snubbed such a kind man.
