Bible Messianic Prophecy 10, Isaiah 53a, the strongest portrait of Jesus, Teacher Mottel Baleston

Isaiah 53 famously contains the clearest portrait of Jesus in the Jewish Bible, the Hebrew Scriptures. The passage is so clear that in past times, some Rabbis cautioned against reading it, lest someone become 'confused'. This is part 1, a dive into this powerful passage.

Horrible! Like the Spanish Inquistion, very upsetting. There were Jews in Sicily and Italy who were forced to change their names and go with the Catholic faith, or be killed or expelled from the country.

The curious thing is that the RAMBAM Maimonides believed that this passage is messianic as seen in his epistle to Yemen

Another excellent episode! Yes, the Inquisition and the Eastern European pogroms were not done by real Christians, and yet let's not forget the real antisemitism of one of the heroes of Christianity, Reformer Martin Luther! He started well by loving Jews and trying to evangelise them by persuasion and not by force, but when that failed, he turned violently against them at least in his writings which are said to have inspired Hitler. So sad, and so incomprehensible.
