For years, I've been thinking about filming a demonstration of Salat in which the Arabic phrases and English translations are alternated. I always felt this would be a great way to get across to people a real sense of what they're actually doing and saying in the most important action of their lives.

The first time I prayed salat I felt like I needed to say the meaning also, because it felt empty without the meaning, so I pray in Arabic and at the same time I think of the meaning in English

I need this so much as a new member of the Muslim Faith. I will learn Arabic, but for now I have to pray in English. I know some frown upon this, but how can one expect Islam to reach EVERYBODY if we are judged for not being able to pray in Arabic?
