Without Stihl, Husqvarna would be crap. Without Husqvarna, Stihl would be crap. They both need each other in order to keep up trying to be the best! And in so doing, the buyers win! Thank you to both companies for trying so hard and benefiting the customers!

Both are nice saws, I have a 2018 Stihl MS261 and love it 20 inch bar out the door for $580.

Nice comparison. They're equal then, good. Now we know.

Both great saws and are about the same, husky has one ring and runs higher rpms. The stihl has two rings and has more torque. Great video thanks for sharing. The game continues between the two brands.

I have both and they are equal both great saws. Just depends which brand your prefer. I will say I like the weight/size and sound of the husqvarna better but the stihl is much easier to work on.

The husqvarna has a bigger bar, may have been slightly faster with the same size as the stihl

Great comparison video . Can you tell me if the MS-261 was the new revision or "Facelift" edition.??
Not sure if was available in US at time of video, it is approximately one horse more and a pound lighter then the older model...

Hi love the video, and that I thought I knew what I was going to get until someone pointed out that these can't have longer bars put on them... I'm Handicapped from an accident, and need a saw that is "light" (Under 12lbs total) and can handle a 25 or 26 inch bar so I don't have to bend over as much limbing and cutting, I need a saw to last and not break down... I'm on SSD and Very low fixed income.... I need the fastest starting and the most dependable saw... I'm leaning towards a Husky but now I don't know what model... (Looking at the 550XP and the MS261CM) I was hoping to buy a chainsaw mill to make boards for tables and arts and crafts stuff, besides firewood... But I would need a 36 inch bar for that but I can't afford those huge saws that come with a 36" bar as well as I can't lift the 17 -24lbs saws either... So I'm kinda stuck now as I was hoping to just get one saw to do everything... So from what you are showing, I guess I'm looking for a Pro saw, I would take either a Stihl or Husky, Which would be the best model for me of each brand... Which one has aftermarket parts so I can run it on a mill as well as fall and limb trees?? I look forward to your Quick response... Then I can call around and hope someone gets one that's factory refurbished or an open box new one that's discounted from the holiday season... Thanks

The only saw I every used in forestry was a stihl. Stihl is the king of chainsaws. Husqvarna is overpriced junk, the only thing they're good for is blowing up.

I ran Stihl almost exclusively but I do own the 550XP and prefer it over my 261. That being said....Husky sucks for arborist top handle and big falling saws.

Had to put a longer bar on the husq to make it fair

Bei 0:46 sieht man die Kante vom Kettenraddeckel ich finde das sieht nach dem alten aus und nich nach dem 2016. Vllt täuscht das ja auch.

Husqvarna lighter, cuts faster. My Echo CS500p will cut like that and its even lighter...only decent saw Echo makes
