I have 2 favorite parts of this.
1. At 1:48, "The Superhero" or whatever you want to call him gives the girl her ballet shoes back after she gives up. I also love how that moment is perfectly synced with the music. From that small gesture, he's telling her that she can do it and that she has his support.
2. At 2:31, the bullies that teased the girl when she failed are watching her next attempt and she nails it. Notice at 3:09, when the whole crowd cheers, they stay silent. They know she proved them wrong. If there's one thing I love seeing, it's a bully (or bullies, in this case) being proved wrong.

I love that at the end, the girl's face lights up the way her "stalker" does. She might look up to him; he did, after all, do some serious acrobatics before giving her back her shoes. My favorite interpretation in the comments is that she became her own superhero. I agree. Well done!

Everyone is misinterpreting the "stalker" line. To me it means that she has someone that will be there, never let her quit, never let her give up on herself even when she wants to call it quits. The "stalker" knows this is her hopes and dreams and refuses to let her give up.... Even if someone classifies him as a stalker for always being there

to me the song isn't talking about a separate entity, it's talking about her inner self/identity. to me it sends a message of being there for yourself and believing in yourself, instead of being so hard on yourself. "let me be everything you need to feel alright" and "hopin' I can show I'm not the enemy" to me is her talking to her inner self, and to stop being her own biggest enemy in the form of self doubt.

This is a small thing, but I actually really like the fact that they referenced Batman as their example of a superhero rather than Superman. Everyone references Superman these days, so its nice to see my boi Bruce get the love her deserves. :) This song is really a perfect fit for his kind of hero also. The kind of silent protector who works from behind the scenes and doesn't search for glory or try to be in the spotlight. Just a sort of guardian angel as it were.

Basically watching over her like a guardian angel. He's not eyeing her like a creep that won't leave her alone. She's unaware of his presence and he keeps an eye out to make sure she's always safe. Like in the video, he sees her fall and give up, so like a superhero that often doesn't give away his identity, he was sure to lift her back up. Super hero. Guardian angel. She lives her life normally, but when times are dark, he will show himself to help her. He's more than just someone following someone around for their own selfish gain

Am I the only one watching this and thinking about how awesome and underappreciated are our LEOs and military folk?
They're there for us, rain or shine, whether we want them or not (there's your "stalker" line). They'll never quit, never give in.
They are the big, nasty, sharp-toothed watchdogs who keep the real wolves from our door. Sure, sometimes they might act up and misbehave, but for the most part...
They are superheroes.
